Milwaukee Admirals News Release

In what will be a rematch of the first round of the playoffs from last season, the Milwaukee Admirals will take on the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in the first round of the AHL Playoffs beginning with game one on Wednesday, April 20th at 7 pm at the Bradley Center.

The two teams will travel back to Cincy for game two on Friday, April 22nd at 6:35 CT before returning to the BC for games three and four on Saturday, April 23rd at 7:30 and Monday April 25th at 7:00. Games five and six, if necessary, will be in Cincinnati on Wednesday, April 27th and Friday, April 29th. Both games will be at 6:35 CT. Should the series require a game seven, it would take place on Sunday, May 1 at 4:30 pm.

The Admirals topped the Ducks in a hard fought, seven game series last season. It was the most games the Ads would require in a series on their way to the Calder Cup. Milwaukee trailed three games to two in last year's match-up before winning games six and seven at the Bradley Center to take the series.

Cincinnati took the season series from the Admirals five games to three. Ducks goalie Frederic Cassivi was particularly effective against Milwaukee, posting a 5-2 record with a 1.76 GAA, a .935 save percentage, and three shutouts. Admirals forward Simon Gamache was the leading scorer between the two squads, notching eight points (3g-5a) in the season series.
