Sherdrick Bonner named AFL's offensive player of the week

Phoenix, AZ - Thanks to his 272-yard, eight touchdown performance in the 71-48 win over the Dallas Desperados, Sherdrick Bonner has been named the AFL's Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Week.
Bonner, a 2003 All AFL First-Teamer, led the Rattlers to their third straight victory on Sunday. He has thrown 20 touchdowns against only one interception during the three game winning streak. Bonner won the Offensive Player of the Week award four times last season. It is his first weekly award this year, and the 14th weekly award of his career.
In addition to winning the League's award, Bonner was also named the Arena Football League Writers Association Player of the Week. On the season, Bonner has thrown for 2,630 yards with 53 touchdowns.
Arizona travels to Indiana this week to take on the red-hot Firebirds at Conseco Fieldhouse on Sunday, April 25. The game can be seen on NBC starting at Noon. The regular season home finale pits the Rattlers against their arch-rivals, the San Jose SaberCats on May 9 at America West Arena. Make your plans to be in the Snake Pit.
