Sheppard Named NWL's Player of the Night

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (July 21, 2012) - Waterloo Bucks catcher Dan Sheppard (Iowa) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night for Saturday, July 21. This marks the second time in three nights the blue and yellow have had an NWL Player of the Night with the last being Freddy Villalobos. Villalobos earned the honor after his 4-for-4 night against the Rox Thursday night.

Sheppard was 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored for the Bucks. He also drew a walk from the Alexandria pitching staff. He would double twice to give him a total of seven on the season.

The Bucks won the game 13-8. The final game of the series was set to start at 3:05 p.m. Sunday as Waterloo goes for the three-game sweep.
