Green Bay Rockers News Release

The Bullfrogs rallied late again, but the two-run seventh inning wasn't enough and they were defeated 4-2 by the Lakeshore Chinooks at Kapco Park in Mequon.

The Chinooks took a 2-0 lead early with an Eric Aguilera home run. It was his fourth of the season. These were the only earned runs given up by Bud Jeter, who pitched three innings in his first start of the season.

The Bullfrogs tied the game in the seventh inning. With the bases loaded, Collin Shaw and Billy Moon each scored when Ransom LaLonde reached on an error by Lakeshore's second baseman German Reyes.

The Chinooks regained the lead immediately in the bottom of the seventh frame. Ryan Krill came home to score when Ransom LaLonde committed an error at third base. Ryan Ussery later scored on a Conner Lynch single to make the score 4-2 in favor of the Chinooks.

The Bullfrogs were held scoreless by Evin Einhardt and Tim Verthien as the Chinooks held on for victory.

In order to keep their four All-Star starters fresh for Tuesday's game, the Bullfrogs used a mixture of relievers throughout the game. Ben Graff pitched two scoreless innings. He was relieved by Alex Abrams (1-1) who allowed one earned run in two innings of work and took the loss. Will Landsheft pitched a scoreless eighth.

This was the final game between these two clubs. The Chinooks won the season series 6-4.

The Bullfrogs are off until Thursday for the Northwoods League All-Star Break. Six Bullfrogs will represent the club in the game. It can be watched live at northwoodsleague.tv. First pitch is scheduled for 7:35 from Warner Park in Madison.
