Waco Wranglers News Release

Waco, TX. The ABA Waco Wranglers will hold a press conference to sign Sheldon Denson Thursday at 10am at the Murray Watson Jr. Student Recreation Center at Texas State Technical College Waco. Sheldon will be the third player signed by the Wranglers.

The 6'3" shooting guard played for Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas where he was voted Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore. He then went on to play for Texas A & M Kingsville. Denson attended the Cleveland Cavaliers pre-draft camp and was not cut until the final two weeks. Denson played for the ABA team in Fort Worth, the Texas Tycoons. He has also played international basketball in Canada.

"We all play together as one. We're going to win," Denson said. "We have a good team this year."

"Sheldon is a clutch player. He has a very accurate 3-point shot but can drive the ball inside extremely effectively as well," Coach Toni said. "We are pleased to have Sheldon as part of the Wrangler organization."

The Wranglers will play pre-season games at their official practice site, Texas State Technical College Waco in the Murray Watson Jr. Student Recreation Center. All regular season home games will be played at Reicher High School in the Deering Center. The Waco Wranglers will provide cost-efficient, fan-friendly and fast-paced pro basketball for the community of Waco. For more information, visit www.abawranglers.com or abalive.com.
