Message from Park School in Snyder, New York

Buffalo Silverbacks News Release

Snyder, NY. Thomas W. Ford, Director of Athletics for The Park School in Snyder, New York had this to say about the ABA Buffalo Silverbacks "Do Your Best, Never Quit" seminar.

"I am the director of athletics at The Park School of Buffalo in Snyder, New York. This past summer I designed and implemented a basketball camp for boys, ages seven thorough fourteen. During my pre-camp planning months, I was interested in bringing qualified professional adult basketball guest speakers to the program. I was pleased to include two players from Buffalo's new ABA basketball team, the Buffalo Silverbacks.

The Silverbacks spoke about how athletics promotes a healthy lifestyle. In addition, these gentlemen spoke of establishing goals, how to set goals to excel, going way beyond athletics and into our everyday life. The Silverbacks were open to questions posted by students attending the camp and fielded them professionally and enthusiastically. At the close of the session, the children were given team trading cards with player autographs and also posters containing a goal-oriented motto, Do Your Best, Never Quit."

I was very satisfied with the level of involvement and commitment demonstrated by the Silverbacks at The Park School of Buffalo Summer Basketball Day Camp. I am confident that our campers will benefit tremendously from this clinic and I highly recommend that this program be implemented in other schools in the greater Western New York area. Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
