Wranglers Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

WACO, Texas-The Waco Wranglers held their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Texas State Technical College Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 4:00 p.m.

The Wranglers took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony to acknowledge their joining the Chamber as well as recognition of the Wranglers as a factor in Waco's economic growth.

"We are excited about being a part of the Waco Chamber of Commerce and look forward to building many working partnerships this year," Coach Toni Oppliger said. "We are off to a terrific start with an 8-0 pre-season and have a lot of thrilling basketball ahead for Waco!"

The Wranglers were undefeated their preseason with an 8-0 record. Guard Reggie Griffin led the Wranglers in points making 197 in the preseason alone. Point guard Mario Kinsey was in a close second scoring an average of 20.5 points per game.

The Wrangler's season opener will be Nov. 4 against Arkansas Aeros in Springdale, Ark. Their first regular season home game is scheduled for Nov. 11 against Monterrey, Mexico at Reicher Catholic High School.
