Jersey Express News Release

Newark, NJ The ABA Newark Express have added forwards Rashaan Palmer, and re-signed Dwayne Howell, both of Newark, NJ.

Many will remember Palmer from his playing days at St. Bonaventure University, where he had a successful career. From college he played several years oversees, in Finland, and the Dominican Republic, before returning to the states to play a year in the ABA.

Standing 6'6 and 245, Rashaan is a powerhouse on the block. He's expected to help solidify the frontcourt rebounding core. With his ability on the block, he adds the low post scoring threat that will open things up for the shooters.

Dwayne was an important player during the inaugural season for the Express. He was not only well respected by his teammates, for his hard work, and leadership on the court, but also by the fans. Dwayne's high energy, and tempo changing style of play, will be key. Dwayne provides that emotional lift that doesn't show up in the box score.

Dwayne is long, strong, and one of the most athletic players on the team, at 6'8, 225. He'll guard players on the wing, and on the post.
