
Miracles to pay tribute to Spencer Haywood

Belzoni, Mississippi. The ABA Mississippi Miracles, Mississippi's only professional basketball team, announced today their plans for a December 20th 1st Annual Spencer Haywood Humphreys County PTA ABA Basketball Classic at the Humphreys County High School Gymnasium in Belzoni, Mississippi.
"All-time NBA and ABA basketball great, Spencer Haywood, is a native of Silver City, Mississippi in nearby Humphreys County, near the county seat of Belzoni," stated Rev. Ronald V. Myers, Sr., M.D., Chairman of the Mississippi Miracles. "We will honor the great professional basketball legacy of Spencer Haywood and let all youth statewide know about his historical accomplishments as a Mississippi Delta native." The Miracles play host to the Knoxville Noise from Knoxville, Tennessee. Some proceeds from the game will benefit the Humphreys County PTA. The game will be at 705pm.
