Mississippi Miracles Announce First Annual Spencer Haywood ABA Basketball Classic

(Belzoni, Mississippi) - The ABA Mississippi Miracles, Mississippi's only professional basketball franchise, announced today their plans for a January 4, 2007, 1st Annual Spencer Haywood Humphreys County PTA ABA Basketball Classic at the Humphreys County High School Gymnasium, in Belzoni, Mississippi.
"All-time ABA and NBA basketball great, Spencer Haywood, is a native of Silver City, Mississippi, in Humphreys County, near the county seat of Belzoni, Mississippi," states Rev. Ronald V. Myers, Sr., M.D., Chairman of the Mississippi Miracles. "We will honor the great professional basketball legacy of Spencer Haywood and let all youth statewide know about his historical accomplishments as a Mississippi Delta native."

The miracles will play host to the ABA Knoxville Noise from Knoxville, TN. Proceeds from the game will benefit the Humphreys County PTA.
