Arkansas Aeros to host Arkansas Rivercatz
November 20, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Arkansas Aeros News Release
SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The Arkansas Aeros (6-1) will meet the Arkansas RiverCatz (3-2) for the second time this season when the two collide at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday at the All-Star Sports Arena in Springdale.
The Aeros took the initial meeting between the two teams on Nov. 12 by a 146-116 score.
There is an Arkansas Razorback flair to both squads as the Aeros feature two former Hogs in Todd Day and Larry Satchell, while the RiverCatz have three on their roster in Kareem Reid, Dwight Stewart and Ali Thompson.
For Wednesday night's game only, all adults and children who bring two non-perishable canned goods will receive $2 off their admission price and $1 off if they bring a single canned good. Food donated at the contest will be given to the Family Network, an agency of the United Way of Benton and Washington Counties. The Family Network serves young families who are expecting or parenting their first child. The Family Network is also an advocate in preventing child abuse and neglect.
The Arkansas Aeros ticket office opens an hour before tip-off at the All-Star Sports Arena. Further information can be obtained by calling (479) 845-0460 or by www.arkansasaeros.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
