GLENDALE, AZ - One day after being named the CHL's Second Star of the Month for February, Tulsa Oilers goaltender Shane Madolora has been selected as the Warrior Central Hockey League Goalie of the Month.

For his accomplishment, Madolora will receive a special gift from Warrior.

Madolora posted seven wins in seven starts during the Oilers most successful month of the season. The second-year pro recorded two shutouts and turned in three one-goal performances during his career-best win streak. Madolora's goals against average of 1.86 and save percentage of .940 in February were better than every other netminder in the league. The California native made 30 or more saves in four of his seven appearances and finished the month on a shutout streak of 122 consecutive minutes.

Picking up where he left off in February, Madolora extended his unbeaten streak to eight games with a 33-save outing on March 1 in St. Charles. The 27-year old is 25-18-1 for the season with the ninth best goals against average in the CHL at 2.86. Madolora, who has appeared in 45 of Tulsa's 55 games this season, leads the league in minutes and total saves.

Madolora and the Oilers will begin a two-game home stand this Friday, March 7 against the Rapid City Rush. Saturday is Oklahoma Army National Guard Military Night presented by Budweiser and the Oilers will wear special patriotic jerseys to honor the service and sacrifice of America's veterans and active military personnel. Those jerseys will be auctioned off immediately following the game to raise money for the Folds of Honor Foundation which provides scholarships and financial assistance to families of fallen or disabled soldiers.
