Tulsa's Shane Madolora Named Warrior/CHL Goaltender of the Month

GLENDALE, AZ (March 5, 2014) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa Oilers goaltender Shane Madolora has been named the Warrior Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Month for February/2014. Madolora will receive a special gift, courtesy of Warrior and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.

Madolora was perfect in the month winning all seven starts while allowing just 13 total goals. Madolora finished February with a .940 save percentage and a 1.86 goals against average and he earned back-to-back shutouts in the second half of the month. Five of his seven victories came on the road and on the season, Madolora is 13-11-0 away from home with a 2.76 goals against average and a .919 save percentage. Three of his four shutouts have come on the road this season.

The Salinas, California native is second in the CHL with 25 wins and sits tied for first with four shutouts. His overall goals against average of 2.86 ranks ninth and his .908 save percentage is eighth overall.

Other goaltenders receiving consideration for the monthly award for February include Allen's Bryan Pitton, Arizona's Andrew Engelage, Brampton's Kristofer Westblom, Denver's Kent Patterson, Missouri's Shane Owen, Quad City's Ty Rimmer, Rapid City's Tim Boron and Wichita's Taylor Nelson.
