Tonight's Matchup: The world didn't end, nor did the San Francisco Bulls struggles against the Ontario Reign on Friday night. In their seventh meeting of the season, the Ontario Reign (19-7-1-0) upended the Bulls (11-17-1-2) by a final score of 3-1 in front of an apocalypse ready crowd. This was the third of four meetings at the Cow Palace for these Pacific Division rivals. The Bulls are now 1-5-0-1 against the Reign this season.

The Bulls dominated the shot clock, posting 30 shots to Ontario's 22. Joe Sova, Alex Tuckerman, and Peter Sivak led the team with four shots apiece, only to be brushed aside by the Reign's netminder, J.F. Berube. It appeared the Bulls had notched the equalizer in the waning moments of the contest when the red light went on, but in a night when the breaks weren't going their way, the post stood strong and denied Dean Ouellet's shot with ten seconds left in the game.

The Reign no longer hold the title of last team in the ECHL to notch a shorthanded goal, courtesy of Ontario's left wing Colton Yellow Horn at 8:44 in the first period. Yellow Horn netted his 18th goal of the season, assisted by Dan DaSilva and Kyle Kraemer. Mario Lamoureux scored his 12th of the season in the second period, and Yellow Horn solidified the defeat with an open net goal with one second left in the game.

Marek Viedensky continued his point-per-game pace, scoring the Bulls lone goal of the evening in the third period, deftly tipping a point shot from Mikael Tam past Berube. Ouellet also assisted on the even strength tally. With his helper, the New Brunswick native added to his league lead in scoring amongst rookies, topping ECHL first-timers with 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists). In two games since his reassignment from Worcester, Tam has performed at a point-per-game pace, notching his first ECHL goal on Monday at HP Pavilion to go with his fourth assist on the season Friday night. Kris Belan added to his team lead in penalty minutes after his second period scrap with Ontario's Everett Sheen. Belan also got called for a boarding minor to put his season total one shy of 100 minutes.

Viedensky left the game in the third period after taking a stick to the back of the leg. He did not travel with the team and will not be in the lineup tonight. He has six points in three games against the Reign this season. Derek Couture paces Ontario with 12 points against the Bulls. Forward Jesse Todd made the trip. He has played in one game with the Bulls this season.
