San Francisco Bulls News Release

STOCKTON, Calif. - Tommy Grant picked up three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in his ECHL debut and Peter Sivak scored his team-leading 30th and 31st goals of the season in a 7-2 victory for the San Francisco Bulls (23-34-1-6) over the Stockton Thunder (32-25-5-4), Wednesday night at Stockton Arena. This was the most impressive offensive-output by the Bulls this season, setting a team-record for goals scored in a game. Six different goal scorers contributed in the win.

The Thunder took an early lead in the game on a goal scored by Ryan Hayes at 5:57 of the first period. The shot by Hayes beat goaltender Taylor Nelson, went off the post, and into the net. Shawn Weller and Shawn Boutin picked up the assists on the goal. The Bulls exploded for three quick goals later in the period to take a 3-1 lead. A great pass by Christian Ouellet gave Kory Falite a great opportunity on goal that was not wasted. Falite's 13th goal of the season was also assisted by Jordan Morrison with 6:08 left in the period. Nick Walsh scored his first goal as a member of the Bulls after a beautiful pass from Sivak, who was stationed behind the Stockton goal. Grant picked up his first point in a San Francisco sweater with the secondary assist on the goal. Sivak then scored his team-leading 30th goal of the season with 3:40 remaining in the period to give San Francisco a 3-1 advantage. Once again, Grant was involved in the play, picking up the only assist on the goal. Grant made a great move in the corner to find Sivak, who beat goaltender Tyler Bunz, blocker side.

The Bulls continued to put the puck in the net during the second period. Grant scored his first goal as a member of the Bulls at 2:57. A shot from Mikael Tam hit Grant in front of the net, but Grant found the bouncing puck in the crease and slammed it home. Falite picked up the secondary assist. The Bulls found themselves on a rare four-on-three power play situation a minute later, and capitalized. Bryan Cameron scored on the power play to give San Francisco a 5-1 lead at 3:35. Tristan King set-up Cameron's shot from the left circle. King scored a spectacular goal four minutes later to further the advantage to 6-1. King toe-dragged around a defender to his backhand, then brought the puck to his forehand and slid the puck past Bunz. Mark Isherwood and C. Ouellet picked up the assists. At this point Matt Cooper came into the game to replace Bunz, and make his first professional appearance. Gabriel Levesque scored with 2:55 left in the period to bring the score to 6-2. Mike Little and Maxime Boisclair assisted on Levesque's ninth goal of the season.

Sivak scored for the second time on the night with 3:49 remaining in the third period. The shot from Sivak went through Cooper's five-hole for his 31st goal of the season. Rob Kwiet and Dylan King picked up the assists.
