The Solar Bears are halfway through a three game road trip, and will play the remaining three games against the Gwinnett Gladiators. The two sides have come together nine times this season, with seven of those contests being decided by just a single goal. The Solar Bears are coming off three games in three nights last week as they battled Reading, Elmira, and Trenton, earning a point in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Jackals on Saturday night. The Gladiators are returning home after playing nine straight games on the road, collecting a record of 5-4-0-0 during their road trip. Gwinnett was last in action against the Idaho Steelheads on Saturday, where G Louis Domingue turned in a 40 save performance to help the Gladiators to a 2-0 win. Orlando and Gwinnett last met up at the Amway Center on February 22, with the Solar Bears collecting a 4-2 victory. Orlando is 2-6-1-0 against the Gladiators this season.

C Ryan Cruthers played in his 300th ECHL game on Sunday afternoon in Trenton... The Solar Bears will be without the services of forward C.J. Severyn today, as he was recalled to the Charlotte Checkers (AHL) yesterday... D Michael Wilson is tied for fourth among ECHL defensemen with 27 assists and is 11th among defensemen with 31 points... F Justin Levac has recorded three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in his last two games... Orlando is 15-1-0-1 when leading after two periods... F Chris Lawrence remains on the active roster but is not expected to play today. He missed Orlando's last three games... Orlando is 16-6-0-1 when scoring the game's first goal... C Mathew Sisca was placed on the 21-day IR last week... G Mike Brodeur, D Josh Caron, F Dan Dries, D Jesse Dudas, and D Sean Lorenz remain on the 21-day IR.

Florida Native Brett Hartung Joins Solar Bears:

The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Brett Hartung.

Hartung (5'11", 187 lbs.) is a native of Tallahassee, Florida, and has been playing for Bentley University (NCAA) for the past four seasons (2009-13). In 136 games with Bentley, Hartung has tallied 31 goals and 27 assists for 58 points. Prior to his time with Bentley, he played three seasons in the NAHL (North American Hockey League) from 2006-09, all with the Wichita Falls Wildcats. Hartung had a breakout season in 2008-09 when he led the team with 24 goals and was second with 40 points in 50 games. Hartung is expected to play tonight against the Gladiators.

Gladiators Notes:

Gwinnett will be without ECHL leading scorer Casey Pierro-Zabotel tonight, as he was called up to Charlotte (AHL) yesterday... F Doug Jones and D Sacha Guimond are sixth and seventh among rookies in points. Jones has collected 44 points and leads all rookies with 197 shots while Guimond has 43. Guimond is also fourth among rookies in assists with 31 and tied for second among rookies with nine power play goals. He leads ECHL defensemen in each of those categories... The Gladiators are fifth with 27.63 shots per game... F Evan Bloodoff is tied for first among rookies with three shorthanded goals and is fifth among rookies with five game winning goals... Gwinnett is 16th on the power play at 15.8 percent (43-for-272) and 8th on the penalty kill at 83.7 percent (221-for-264)... F Justin Bowers leads the Gladiators in assists (39) and points (52), F Evan Bloodoff leads the team in goals (20).
