SF Bulls Rope in Wranglers, 6-2

LAS VEGAS - .The San Francisco Bulls (8-12-2-1) finished off their three-in-three weekend on the road with an impressive 6-2 victory over the host Las Vegas Wranglers (7-12-1-0), Sunday afternoon at Orleans Arena. Tyler Gron extended his point streak to eight games with a goal and an assist, while Brett Findlay pitched in with three points to help give the Bulls five out of six points this weekend. Tyler Beskorowany earned his seventh win of the season, stopping 29 of 31 shots. The Bulls jump into sole possession of sixth place in the Western Conference with 19 points.

Chris Crane opened the scoring on a power play strike off a Findlay feed, 6:32 in to the first period. Findlay added his second helper on a Tyler Gron laser that beat Las Vegas netminder Mitch O'Keefe to the left post with 7:48 left in the opening frame. Steven Tarasuk assisted on both first period markers. Kyle Bigos and Scott Langdon, who leveled the Wranglers Geoff Irwin on a huge hit on his shift, each dropped the gloves in the first 20 minutes. The Bulls out-shot their hosts 11-6 at the end of play in the first period.

In the second period, Findlay scored a beauty of a goal for his third point on the day. After receiving a Jordan Morrison feed with 3:45 left in the middle period, Findlay did some nifty stick-work at the goalmouth before lifting the puck over O'Keefe for a 3-0 edge. Adrian Foster would beat O'Keefe for a four-on-four tally just 2:27 later to double the Bulls lead 4-0. The shot clock favored San Francisco 21-19 after 40 minutes of regulation.

Matt Tassone scored the first Wrangler tally seven minutes in to the third period to trigger an avalanche of stuffed animals for the Wranglers Teddy Bear toss. Eddie DelGrosso cut the Bulls lead in half with a short-handed goal with 3:53 remaining in regulation before Dylan King would add the empty-netter 2:35 later. Dale Mitchell iced game with his third goal in as many games with 37 seconds left in regulation. Mitchell buried a Gron feed past Travis Fullerton who came on in relief to start third period. The Wranglers out-shot the Bulls 12-10 in the final stanza.

The Bulls return home for a pair Friday and Saturday night. Friday will be a special Friday the 13th game against the Ontario Reign, with the first 500 fans receiving glow-in-the-dark goalie masks. On Saturday the Bulls will take on Northern California rivals the Stockton Thunder in the annual Teddy Bear toss. Fans who bring in stuffed animals are encouraged to throw them on the ice after the Bulls first goal. All bears go to children in net during the holiday season.

Bulletins: Tyler Gron's eight-game point-streak is the second-longest active in the ECHL...Chris Crane leads all rookies in power play goals, with all five of his scores coming on the man advantage this season....The Bulls picked up victories in two buildings for the first time in team history this weekend, besting Ontario 4-1 at Citizens Business Bank Arena Friday before topping the Wranglers 4-1 Sunday at Orleans Arena for the first time. The Bulls matched a team-high in points for a weekend, picking up five points on the two wins and a shootout loss to Ontario Saturday.
