San Francisco Bulls News Release

ONTARIO, Calif. - Dale Mitchell scored the equalizer in the third period to help send the game into overtime, but Matt Register scored in the extra session to give the Ontario Reign (15-3-1-3) a 3-2 win over the San Francisco Bulls (7-12-2-2), Saturday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tyler Gron extended his point streak to seven games with a goal and an assist to help the Bulls pick up three out of four points in a two-game set against the Pacific Division leaders. J.P. Anderson stopped 42 shots for the Bulls.

Mario Lamoureux opened the scoring on the power play with 7:52 remaining in the first period to unleash the stuffed animals for the Reign's Teddy Bear Toss. The Bulls responded on their second power play of the game with 3:14 left in the first period. Mitchell threw a puck in front of the net and Gron flipped the rebound over Michael Hutchinson for his ninth goal of the season. The Reign out-shot the Bulls 17-8 in the opening frame.

In the second period, the Reign regained the lead. Derek Couture scored on a 5-on-3 power play with 9:59 elapsed. The Reign went into the second intermission up 2-1 and leading in the shots 30-14.

After the Bulls failed to convert on an extended a 5-on-3 power play to begin the third period, they took advantage of a four-minute, double-minor power play. Mitchell backhanded a rebound over Hutchinson at 9:54 of the third for his fifth goal of the season to even the game at two. Gron and Adrian Foster earned the assists.

In overtime, Register scored at 3:24 to give Ontario the 3-2 victory.

Up next, the Bulls travel to Las Vegas to face the Wranglers tomorrow for a 2:05 pm start. Listen on KNBR.com or watch on Americaonesports.com.
