Seven Impact U17 Players Called up by Canada

MONTREAL - Canada's U17 head coach Andrew Olivieri called up seven Impact U17 players to represent the country in the 2019 Concacaf Men's U17 Championship in Bradenton, Florida.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Collins, defenders Keesean Ferdinand, David Amla and Maxime Bourgeois, midfielders Tomas Giraldo and Matthew Catavolo, as well as striker Jérémie Omeonga were selected.

The competition will be played from May 2 to 16. In the group stage, Canada will face the United States on May 2, Guatemala on May 4 and Barbados on May 6. Following the group stage, 12 countries will reach the round of 16, with four other nations having already qualified in March and April.

The four semi-finalists will qualify for the FIFA U17 World Cup 2019 in Brazil.
