
Seven Admirals Head to Anaheim Ducks Training Camp

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, today announced the schedule and roster for their training camp, which opens today at 11:15 a.m. PST at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Seven members of the 2012-13 Norfolk Admirals will take part in the training camp.
The following seven players have played for Norfolk in 2012-13 and are now on Anaheim's training camp roster (a complete Anaheim training camp roster is attached to this press release):

Etem, 6-foot-0, 202 pounds, has appeared in 34 games for the Admirals this season, posting nine goals and 10 points with 12 penalty minutes and a -1 plus/minus rating. The 20-year-old native of Long Beach, California, was selected by Anaheim in the first round (29th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Guenin, 6-foot-3, 207 pounds, has appeared in 30 games with the Admirals this season, posting two goals and 10 points with 12 penalty minutes and a +6 plus/minus rating while serving as Norfolk's captain. The 30-year-old native of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, was acquired by Anaheim from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Trevor Smith on January 4, 2011.
Hendry, 6-foot-0, 197 pounds, has appeared in 29 games for the Admirals this season, netting two goals and four points with 31 penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating. The 27-year-old native of Lanigan, Saskatchewan, was signed by Anaheim as a free agent on July 1, 2012.
Holland, 6-foot-2, 192 pounds, has appeared in 34 games with the Admirals this season, registering 12 goals and 31 points with 58 penalty minutes and a -10 plus/minus rating. Holland leads the Admirals in points and assists (19) while ranking second in goals. The 21-year-old native of Toronto, Ontario, was selected by Anaheim in the first round (15th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Maroon, 6-foot-3, 231 pounds, has appeared in 34 games with the Admirals this season, recording 11 goals and 22 points with 98 penalty minutes and a -3 plus/minus rating. Maroon leads the Admirals in penalty minutes and game-winning goals (3), is tied for the team lead with seven power play goals and ranks third in goals and points. The 24-year-old native of St. Louis, Missouri, was acquired by Anaheim from Philadelphia along with David Laliberte in exchange for Danny Syvret and Rob Bordson on November 21, 2010.
Palmieri, 5-foot-11, 196 pounds, has appeared in 33 games for the Admirals this season, scoring 13 goals and 25 points with 54 penalty minutes and a -13 plus/minus rating. Palmieri leads the Admirals in goals, is tied for the team lead with seven power play goals, ranks second in points and is third in assists (12). The 21-year-old native of Smithtown, New York, was selected by Anaheim in the first round (26th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Smith-Pelly, 6-foot-0, 213 pounds, has appeared in 34 games with the Admirals this season, notching five goals and 13 points with 34 penalty minutes and a -17 plus/minus rating. A 20-year-old native of Scarborough, Ontario, Smith-Pelly was selected by Anaheim in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
The Admirals return to Scope on Tuesday to face off against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:15 p.m. in another Admirals Value Night, with Family Fun Packs and Student Rush Night tickets available.
