
Oilers Summon Four Players from Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City - The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, recalled forwards Teemu Hartikainen, Magnus Paajarvi and Chris Vandevelde along with defenseman Colten Teubert, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.
Hartikainen, a 6-2, 211-pounder from Kuopio, Finland has 27 points (11-16-27) in 37 games with Oklahoma City this season. He is the Barons franchise leader in goals (42) and points (101) and has the distinction of scoring the first Barons goal in history. The Oilers 6th round draft choice (163rd overall), has appeared in 29 games with Edmonton, scoring 10 points (5-5-10).
Paajarvi, a 6-2, 204-pound native of Norrkoping, Sweden has appeared in 37 games with the Barons this season, scoring 20 points (4-16-20). In 71 games with the Barons over two seasons, Paajarvi has 45 points (11-34-45). The Oilers 1st round selection (10th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft has played in 121 NHL games, scoring 42 points (17-25-42).
Vandevelde, a 6-2, 210-pounder from Moorhead, MN has appeared in 31 games with the Barons this season, scoring nine points (1-8-9). He is the Barons all-time leader in games played (166) and has registered 48 points (20-28-48) in his tenure with the Barons. The Oilers 4th round selection (97th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry draft has appeared in 17 games with Edmonton, scoring three points (1-2-3).
Teubert, a 6-4, 210-pounder from White Rock, B.C. has played 36 games with the Barons this season, scoring five points (2-3-5). Drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1st round (13th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Teubert has played 101 games with the Barons, scoring 22 points (6-16-22). He has played 24 games with the Oilers and has one assist.
Edmonton opens their training camp with physicals today with the first on ice session on Monday, December 14. The Oilers open the regular season on January 20 on the road against the Vancouver Canucks.
The Barons are in the midst of a five-game homestand. Next weekend the Barons skate in back-to-back games against the San Antonio Rampage. Faceoff for both games next weekend is 7 p.m. The games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
