Spokane Chiefs News Release
The Spokane Chiefs will have the opportunity to defend their home ice in the best-of-seven first round WHL Playoff series with the Vancouver Giants on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Spokane comes into the week trailing the series 2-0 after suffering 7-5 and 7-3 losses last weekend.
The Chiefs will host the Vancouver Giants in games three and four of the first round of the WHL Playoffs on Tuesday, March 27th and Wednesday, March 28th. Both games begin at 7:00 p.m.
The last time Spokane lost the first two road games of a series was to the Giants in 2009. Spokane won the next three games of that series, including games three and four at home. Five different Chiefs scored goals in game three in a 5-2 win and despite being outshot 41-17 in game four, Spokane posted a 1-0 win to even the series. Spokane had a 3-2 series lead over Vancouver after Blake Gal ended the second longest game in WHL history, a quadruple overtime game five. The Giants won the next two games, both going into overtime, and advanced to play in the Western Conference Finals.
Tickets for both home games are available by calling the Chiefs ticket office at (509) 535-PUCK (7825) or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT (7328).
