Senators Sign Sturtz to ATO

The Belleville Senators have signed forward Andrew Sturtz to an amateur tryout agreement for the remainder of the 2017-18 AHL season.

Sturtz was signed by the Ottawa Senators to a two-year entry-level contract on March 28th after a standout career with Penn State.

The 23-year-old is the all-time leading scorer at Penn State after tallying 54 goals and 50 assists in 111 games over a three-year span with the Nittany Lions and helped guide the team to the 2016-17 B1G championship.

Prior to attending Penn State, Sturtz played two seasons with the Carleton Place Canadians, recording 176 points (81 goals) in 116 CCHL games.

Sturtz will wear No. 42 for the Senators and will be available for tonight's contest with the Springfield Thunderbirds at the Yardmen Arena.
