
Iacopelli Reassigned to Fuel

Rockford, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks today announced they have reassigned forward Matheson Iacopelli from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs to the ECHL's Indy Fuel.
Iacopelli, 23, was originally reassigned from Indy to Rockford on March 10 and has since scored two goals on 19 shots in 10 contests. He has now logged 19 points (11g, 8a), 109 shots on goal and a +7 rating in 50 AHL games this season, including tallying a season-high three-game point streak (2g, 3a) from Oct. 22-27. Overall, Iacopelli has scored 12 goals with 11 assists in 58 career AHL contests with the IceHogs over the last two seasons.
The Woodhaven, Michigan native rejoins the Fuel where he has amassed 10 points (9g, 1a) in nine ECHL games on the year. He made his ECHL debut with a two-point effort on Feb. 22 vs. Quad City, scored his first professional hat trick on Feb. 24 vs. Quad City and has points in six of his nine ECHL appearances in 2017-18.
Iacopelli was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the third round (84th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.

The IceHogs host their final home game of the 2017-18 regular season with an Illinois Lottery Cup series matchup against the Chicago Wolves.
