Senators Recall Forward Zack Smith From Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 6, 2010) - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Zack Smith from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Smith, 21, has recorded 13 goals, 18 assists and 92 penalty minutes in 56 games with Binghamton this season. In his first recall this season, he scored twice in eight games. In nine career NHL games the native of Maple Creek, Sask., has recorded two goals and added nine penalty minutes.

A co-winner of the B-Sens' 2008-09 rookie-of-the-year award, Smith was Ottawa's third-round selection (79th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The B-Sens (seventh East Division, 24-30-4-3, 56 points) next see action tonight when they visit the Phantoms in Adirondack.
