Senators Recall Forward Cody Bass from Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 9, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Cody Bass from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators .
Bass, 24, who is being recalled to Ottawa for the first time this season, has recorded 15 points (six goals, nine assists) and 111 penalty minutes in 58 games with the B-Sens in 2010-11. He was recently recognized with the Yanick Dupre Memorial Award as the American Hockey League's 2010-11 IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year.
A native of Owen Sound, Ont., Bass most recently played in the NHL when he appeared in 12 games for Ottawa during the 2008-09 campaign. In 33 career regular-season NHL contests (all with Ottawa), Bass has recorded four points (two goals, two assists) and 34 penalty minutes.
The Senators next see action when they conclude their 2010-11 season with a 1 p.m. game against the Bruins today in Boston.
