
B-Sens Present 2010-11 Player Awards

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today the winners of the 2010-11 player awards that were presented in a special pre-game ceremony this evening as the B-Sens host the Adirondack Phantoms at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
A total of seven awards were issued. The awards and corresponding winners are listed below.
* Most Valuable Player Barry Brust
* Rocco J. Testani Star of the Year Barry Brust
* Top Defensive Forward Cody Bass
* Top Defenseman Andre Benoit
* Rookie of the Year Eric Gryba
* 7th Player Award Ryan Keller
* Man of the Year Cody Bass
The coaches select the winners of the Most Valuable Player, Top Defensive Forward, Top Defenseman and Rookie of the Year awards. The players vote for the winner of the 7th Player Award.
The Binghamton Senators will present the Best Plus-Minus award at the conclusion of the season as it is currently too close to call. Erik Condra (plus-20) and Jim O'Brien (plus-17) are the front runners for the award entering tonight's game versus Adirondack.
In addition to these player awards, the Binghamton Senators recognized the following players who have received American Hockey League awards:

* 2010-11 AHL Second All-Star Team Andre Benoit
* Yanick Dupre Memorial Award (2010-11 AHL Man of the Year) Cody Bass
* Les Cunningham Award (2010-11 AHL MVP) Corey Locke
