
Senators Kick-Off Six-Game Homestand on Tuesday

Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Senators return home Tuesday night to begin a six-game homestand. The Senators face a crucial series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels as both teams are vying for a spot in the playoffs. After the three game series with Richmond, the New York Yankees' AA affiliate, the Trenton Thunder, come to town this weekend. Come out to Metro Bank Park to root on the Senators as they make their push to the postseason!
The homestand is packed with great baseball, fireworks, theme nights, and ballpark deals. The Senators are also giving away youth t-shirts, figurines, and flatscreens. Fans may even encounter a few former presidents at the ballpark! Listed below are the homestand specifics.
Tuesday night, August 9, at 7:00 p.m. the Senators face the Richmond Flying Squirrels in game one of the three-game series. It is a Kraft Singles Tuesday Night. Capital BlueCross Kids Club Members receive a free ticket with their Kids Club Card and the purchase of an adult admission. The Senators are also recognizing all of our young readers during Summer Reading Program Night. The ballpark gates open at 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 10, at 7:00 p.m. the Senators and Flying Squirrels continue their series with game two. Bring your furry friend with you to the ballpark for Pet Night.
Wacky Wednesday is back with 9 Innings of Fun. Stay tuned into the game to see if any of your favorite Senators help one lucky fan win $5,000! The Senators are also acknowledging all of our young readers during Summer Reading Program Night. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday night, August 11, at 7:00 p.m. the Senators and Richmond play the final game of the series. Enjoy $2 Coors Light Drafts available throughout the ballpark during Thirsty Thursday presented by Coors Light and 105.7 The X. It's your first opportunity of the weekend to win a dugout suite or $100 in cash during Launch-A-Ball. The Senators also celebrate all of our young readers during Summer Reading Program Night. Friday night, August 12, at 7:00 p.m. the Senators start a three-game series against the Trenton Thunder. The Washington Nationals' Racing Presidents are visiting Metro Bank Park all weekend long beginning Friday night. Come on out for Flatscreens & Fireworks Friday Night presented by WINK 104. The Senators will be giving away a flatscreen TV once per every inning for the first nine innings. All fans 18 and over are eligible to win. After the game, sit back and enjoy one of the Senators outstanding fireworks shows. Post-game, fans have a chance to win $100 in cash with Launch-A-Ball. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Saturday night, August 13, at 7:00 p.m. the Senators and Thunder face each other for the second game of the series. The first 1,000 kids, 12 and under, receive a Senators Youth T-Shirt presented by M&Ms Chocolate Candies. Be on the lookout for another appearance by the Washington Nationals' Racing Presidents. Also after the game, fans have another opportunity to win $100 in cash or a dugout suite during Launch-A-Ball, and kids can run the bases, just like their favorite Senator. Gates open on Saturday night at 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 14, at 6:00 p.m. is the final game of the three-game series against the Trenton Thunder and the conclusion of the homestand. Bring the whole family out on Sunday for an exciting evening of baseball for everyone. The day starts when the gates open with a
Stephen Strasburg Figurine giveaway presented by Stroehmann Bakers, BOB 94.9, and The River 97.3. The first 1,000 fans through the gate receive a free figurine of Nationals' pitcher and the first pick in the 2009 MLB Draft, Stephen Strasburg. Make sure to arrive early for pre-game catch on the field prior to the game on Sunday. This is your opportunity to play catch on the outfield grass at Metro Bank Park. It is also a

On game days, the Metro Bank Park box office is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until the end of the game, and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the end of the game. Box office hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours.
