
Senators defeat the Curve 7-2

ALTOONA, PA - For the second night in a row the Harrisburg Senators (AA-Washington Nationals) had no problem in defeating the Altoona Curve as the Senators took game three of a four game series 7-2 Saturday night at Blair County Ballpark.
Senators CF Leonard Davis led Harrisburg's offensive attack with an RBI triple during a three run first inning and then a solo home run to lead off another three run inning in the fourth. Davis finished the night 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, and two RBIs.
The Curve scored their runs in the eighth inning on a wild pitch and then on an RBI single by Gorkys Hernandez. Hernandez went 1-for-4 on the night. RF Jose Tabata extended his hitting streak to 12 games after hitting a double in the bottom of the first inning.
Derek Hankins (1-3) took the loss for Altoona. Hankins tossed 4.0 innings and allowed six runs on six hits with five strikeouts in his first start since 7/4. Harrisburg starter Erik Arnesen (6-3) gets the win after tossing 7.0 shutout innings allowing just four hits and striking out three.
Altoona (34-60) will be looking for a split in the four game series if they can defeat the Senators (40-52) in the series finale Sunday night at BCB. First pitch Sunday is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. with radio coverage beginning at 5:35 p.m. on ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM and the Curve Radio Network. Sunday's probable starters are lefty Daniel Moskos (6-7, 4.20) for Altoona and southpaw Matt Chico (1-2, 4.41) for Harrisburg.
