Arnesen pitches Sens to 7-2 win

Saturday night the Senators made it two straight over Altoona with a 7-2 win. Erik Arnesen was outstanding for the Sens going seven shut out innings in earning his sixth win of the season.

Arnesen received all the help he would need in the first inning when Joel Guzman doubled in two runs. Leonard Davis followed with a triple to drive in Guzman to give the Sens a 3-0 lead.

They doubled the lead in the fourth inning when Davis homered to lead off the inning and Ofilio Castro singled in two with the bases loaded and two outs.

Bill Rhinehart added an rbi single in the fifth and the Sens cruised from their for their second straight win over the Curve after dropped their first four to Altoona.

Arnesen allowed four hits and walked just one in the ballgame. Jack Spradlin and Justin Jones pitched the final two innings to finish up the game.

Castro, Guzman and Davis all had two hits for the Sens.

The Sens improve to 40-52 on the season while Altoona falls to 34-60, a franchise record 26 games under .500.

The series continues and ends on Sunday evening with LH Matt Chico on the mound for the Sens against LH Daniel Moskos for Altoona. Game time on Sunday is at 6:05pm. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket beginning at 5:50pm.
