Montgomery Biscuits News Release
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Cameron Seitzer hit two home runs as the Biscuits' (40-39/5-4) bullpen went 6.2 scoreless-innings before allowing a run in the eleventh as the Huntsville Stars forced a rubber-match with a 4-3 win Friday night at Joe Davis Stadium.
Josh Prince reached base in the eleventh inning after a costly error from second-baseman, Hector Guevara. Prince was bunted up to second. D'Vontrey Richardson then reached on an infield single to put runners on the corners. Kentrail Davis walked to load the bases, which brought up Erik Komatsu. Andrew Bellatti (1-5) fell behind Komatsu 3-1 before walking him on a fastball off the plate outside to bring in the game-winning run.
The walk-off spoiled a fabulous offensive night from Seitzer. All three of the Biscuits' runs came from Seitzer-home runs. His first was a solo shot in the second inning to give the Biscuits a 1-0 lead. He then went deep to tie the game at three in the sixth inning.
Angel Sanchez retired the first nine batters he faced before allowing a three-run dinger in the fourth inning to Nick Ramirez. Sanchez finished by going five innings for the no-decision.
Matt Ramsey continued his strong late-game performances with 2.1 scoreless-innings. Ramsey worked around a leadoff walk in the tenth inning to retire two batters and force the eleventh inning.
The rubber-match and final regular season game ever for the Biscuits at Joe Davis Stadium is Saturday night at 6:30. RH Michael Colla will get the start for Montgomery. Huntsville will have RH Andy Moye on the mound.
