Seattle Storm announce 2004 Preseason Schedule

SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm today announced their 2004 preseason schedule in preparation for the franchise's fifth campaign in the WNBA.

The Storm will open up their 2004 preseason schedule on the road against the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday, May 8 at 7 p.m. at America West Arena. Seattle will take on the Sacramento Monarchs on Friday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Arco Arena in Sacramento, Calif.

Seattle will face the Mercury for a second preseason meeting at KeyArena on Tuesday, May 18 at 7 p.m.

"The preseason always gets Storm fans warmed up for the excitement of the regular season," said Storm Chief Operating Officer Karen Bryant. "We're excited to be hosting the final of our three preseason games just two nights before our opener."

The Storm, led by head coach Anne Donovan, tip off the 2004 WNBA season at home on Thursday, May 20 vs. the Minnesota Lynx at KeyArena and will host the two-time WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks at the Key on Saturday, May 22.

The Seattle Sonics & Storm manages the Puget Sound region's professional basketball franchises – the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics and the WNBA's Seattle Storm. The organization oversees all sales, marketing, finance, public relations, broadcast production and basketball operations for the teams. The Basketball Club of Seattle LLC owns both teams.
