Seattle Reign FC News Release
SEATTLE - Seattle Reign FC announced today its updated 18 player roster. The new roster is in effect until April 15.
The roster includes the newly signed defender Carson Pickett and midfielder Lindsay Elston.
Reign FC drafted Pickett in the first round with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NWSL College Draft. Elston joined the club as a trialist for its preseason campaign and was signed as of today. Elston previously signed with Houston Dash in 2014, where she played three games before an ankle injury.
Midfielders Kim Little and Jessica Fishlock are currently abroad playing for the Scottish and Welsh national teams, respectively. Goalkeeper Hope Solo is currently en route to Seattle after having defeated Colombia in a two-game series with U.S. Women's National Team.
Solo and Little will return to training on April 12, while Fishlock is slated for return on April 16 after the Welsh national team faces Kazakhstan in the UEFA Euro qualifying match on Tuesday.
Forward Megan Rapinoe is currently unavailable as she is undergoing rehabilitation for a torn ACL that she suffered while training with USWNT last December.
Seattle will kick off the regular season with April 17's home opener at 4 p.m. PT against Sky Blue FC at Memorial Stadium. Tickets start at just $18 and are available at reignfc.com/tickets or by calling (855) REIGN-FC.
