Seattle Reign FC Announces Updated 25-Player Preseason Roster

SEATTLE (March 29, 2016) - Seattle Reign FC announced today its updated 25-player preseason roster.

Goakeepers (3): Hope Solo (out of market), Haley Kopmeyer, Lindsey Luke (draft pick), Andi Tostanoski (NRI)

Defenders (8): Lauren Barnes, Rachel Corsie, Elli Reed, Kendall Fletcher, Carson Pickett (draft pick), Michelle Cruz, Paige Nielsen (draft pick), Kelly Beck (NRI)

Midfielders (7) Kim Little, Jessica Fishlock, Keelin Winters, Havana Solaun, Kathryn Bennett (NRI), Lindsay Elston (NRI), Erica Shelton (NRI)

Forwards (6) Merritt Mathias, Manon Melis, Beverly Yanez, Kiersten Dallstream, Rebecca Candler (NRI), Dani Foxhoven (NRI)

Non-Roster Invitee (NRI)

Reign FC waived defender Antonia Göransson on March 25. Reign FC and Göransson mutually agreed that, as the result of a personal medical issue, it would be best for Göransson to return to Sweden and forgo play in the NWSL this season.

Goalkeeper Hope Solo has been called up by the U.S. Women's National Team to partake in a two-match friendly against Colombia. The first match will take place on April 6 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Conn. at 7 p.m. ET. The second contest will be at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa. at 2 p.m. ET on April 10. Solo will report back to Reign FC on April 11.

Seattle Reign FC is in the midst of a seven-day road trip in Portland, Ore., participating in a preseason tournament with Portland Thorns FC, Houston Dash, and Oregon State University.

Reign FC will play their second preseason match tomorrow, Wednesday March 30 at 5 p.m. PDT, against Houston Dash. They will finish out the tournament by facing Oregon State University on Saturday April 2 at 2:30 p.m. PDT.

Reign FC will host the Community Shield Match against University of Washington at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 9 at 7 p.m. PDT.
