Sky Blue FC Announces Updated Preseason Roster

Tinton Falls, N.J. - Sky Blue FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) announced its updated roster on Tuesday, with the team officially entering the third week of its 2016 preseason camp.

"We are very pleased with the progress that we have made during the early weeks of the preseason," said Christy Holly, Sky Blue FC head coach. "We have established a firm foundation as we continue to build towards our season opener on April 17th. We have seen a lot of improvement, both individually and as a team, and that is something that gives us a great deal of confidence as we approach the regular season."

A key addition to the Sky Blue FC roster since the start of preseason is goalkeeper Caroline Stanley, who officially joined the team at the open of camp. Three players who are no longer training with the New Jersey club include midfielders Nicole Baxter and Hayley Katkowski, along with goalkeeper Brittany Anghel.

After spending the first two weeks of the preseason with Sky Blue FC, Kelley O'Hara is now headed out to U.S. Women's National Team camp to prepare for a pair of matches with Colombia in early April. Costa Rican midfielder and first round draft pick Raquel Rodriguez is slated to join Sky Blue FC later this week, while Australian internationals Caitlin Foord and Sam Kerr are scheduled to arrive at camp in the upcoming weeks.
