Portland Sea Dogs News Release
Portland, Maine - The Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have unveiled a new state-of-the-art true HD video board at Hadlock Field.
Installed while the Sea Dogs were away on a two-week road trip, the new video board measures 17' x 50', with 6 MM full color LED and 2.1 million pixels, which brings true HD quality.
For comparison the Sea Dogs previous video board, installed in the fall of 2013, measured 17' X 53" with 20 MM full color LED and 217,600 pixels.
The new board was purchased from Cirrus LED in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and installed by Burr Signs in Westbrook.
"True HD quality is fairly new over the last few years, reserved for the largest stadiums in North America... so the Sea Dogs have something really special and it should be celebrated," said Dan Kerluke, Chief Growth Officer, Cirrus Systems Inc.
The new board is located in left-center field and will be used as the primary board featuring player head shots, videos, Red Sox highlights, and much more.
"We are excited to unveil this new state of the art board to our fans," stated Sea Dogs President & General Manager Geoff Iacuessa. "This new board will be one of the largest and highest resolution displays in New England. It will be a great tool for us to help enhance the fan experience and provide value to our corporate partners."
Tickets for Sea Dogs can be purchased online at seadogs.com, by phone at 207-879-9500 or at the Hadlock Field ticket office. Book your nine inning vacation!
