The Fightin Phils produced a run in the bottom of the fifth inning with Murphy still on the mound. Jonathan Guzman led off the inning with a triple. Chris Sharpe quickly brought him in with a sacrifice fly to right, making it a 6-3 game.

The bullpen held the game down the rest of the way, securing a series split and a 9-3 victory.
