Alu Has Three Hits in Sens 6-3 Loss

The Richmond Flying Squirrels scored six times in the fourth inning and held on to beat the Sens Sunday afternoon 6-3. Richmond had just one hit in innings 1-3 and one hit in innings 5-9 but had five hits in their six-run fourth inning including a three-run home run. The Sens scored twice in the seventh and once in the ninth.

Franklyn Kilome retired nine of the first ten batters he faced before being roughed up in the fourth inning. Richmond sent ten batters to the plate in the fourth frame. Edgar Garcia, Richard Guasch, Reid Schaller and Zach Brzykcy combined to go five innings of shutout ball allowing just one hit while striking out six.

Jake Alu went 3-for-5 with two doubles and scored a run. His two doubles give him a team leading 18 for the season. Jack Dunn had two hits and scored a run. Wilson Garcia doubled in the Sens final run in the ninth inning.

Harrisburg went 1-for-16 with runners in scoring position, stranding 14 men on base. The Sens twice left the bases loaded. Harrisburg concluded their 13-game homestand with a 7-6 record.
