THE FIRST FOR A MAINER : Camden, Maine native Mike MacDonald makes his first start in the Red Sox system this afternoon in Trenton...MacDonald will be the first Maine native to play for the Sea Dogs...The right-hander was pitching with the Somerset Patriots (Atlantic League) before his contract was purchased by the Boston Red Sox and assigned to Portland... Additionally, MacDonald will be the third University of Maine Black Bear to play for the Sea Dogs in franchise history, joining Pete Fisher (2005) and Rusty Tucker (2006).
