----- Today, the SeaWolves continue a six-game homestand as they take on the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) in the middle game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves squandered a one-run lead in the ninth inning as they dropped the series opener to the Senators 5-3. Erie has played five extra innings games this season, three against Harrisburg. All of Erie's extra innings games against the Sens have resulted in losses...Erie enters play today 4.5 games behind the second place Senators who have won a season-high seven straight games and are the hottest team in the EL...Tonight, righty Patrick Cooper takes the mound for Erie making his 13th appearance and sixth start. Cooper took a no-decision in his last start against Harrisburg on July 3. In the game, he allowed three runs on eight hits with two walks and three strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. Erie lost the game 4-3 in 10 innings...Former Detroit Tigers reliever Ryan Perry takes the mound for the Senators making his fourth start and second against Erie. Perry took a no-decision in his last outing against the 'Wolves on July 3. In the game, he allowed a run on three hits with a walk and five strikeouts in five innings of work. Perry has struck out five in each of his last two starts. Perry has spent time at three levels of the Nats chain including making seven appearances with Washington...The SeaWolves have one game remaining this homestand and will return home on Monday, July 16.
