ON THE ROAD AGAIN:The Sea Dogs open up a six-game roadtrip on Tuesday night against the Binghamton Mets at NYSEG Stadium...Portland has dropped 5 of 7 to Binghamton, but have won three straight road games...With yesterday's win, the 'Dogs finished 4-4 on their homestand...Binghamton has lost two straight, but holds the second playoff spot in the Eastern Division, a ½ game ahead of Reading...RHP Joe Gunkel makes his second straight start - he took Mike McCarthy's spot in the rotation.

CARLOS CONNECTED: Carlos Asuaje hit 2 homers and drove in 4 runs, as the Sea Dogs picked up an 8-2 win over the Reading Fightin Phils on Monday afternoon at Hadlock Field...Mike Augliera (2-7) tossed seven scoreless frames on 4 hits, one walk and 3 strikeouts to earn the win...David Chester added a two-run homer during Portland's 5-run seventh inning...Danny Bethea and Marco Hernandez each went 2-for-3, RBI...Aneury Tavarez went 2-for-3 with a double in his first Double-A start...Portland beat Top Prospect Aaron Nola (6-3), who allowed 7 hits and 3 runs.
