The Sea Dogs open up a four-game series in three days with the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins affiliate) on Friday night at New Britain Stadium...Tonight is the first doubleheader of the season for Portland.

NOW WE START : The Sea Dogs and Rock Cats were postponed due to rain on Thursday night, and start a four-game series on three days on Friday night...Tonight's doubleheader is from a postponement on April 12th...Last night's game will be made up when the Sea Dogs return to New Britain Stadium on July 22-24...The Sea Dogs have had been postponed four times this season - tonight is the first of four doubleheaders on the schedule...RHP Brandon Workman replaces Keith Couch as the game two starter.

THAT'S OFFENSE : Tony Thomas went 4-for-4 with 3 RBI and finished a homer shy of the cycle, as Portland clobbered the Reading Fightin Phils, 10-4 on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field...Thomas had a single, double and a triple, before doubling in his final at-bat...Xander Bogaerts knocked in season-high 3 runs, nailing a two-run double, during a five-run fourth...Peter Hissey went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI and Heiker Meneses went 2-for-4 with two runs scored...Lefty Drake Britton worked six innings in relief of Franklin Morales to earn his third win of the season.
