Curve and Flying Squirrels Postponed Friday

CURVE, Pa. - Friday night's game between the Altoona Curve and the Richmond Flying Squirrels has been postponed. The game will be made up tomorrow night (Saturday) as part of a doubleheader with first pitch slated for 5 p.m.

A postgame fireworks show presented by US. Foods will highlight a doubleheader tomorrow night between the Curve and the Flying Squirrels. Saturday is also a Galliker's Curve Kids' Club game. Members of the Galliker's Curve Kids' Club get in free to both games on Saturday and are encouraged to wear tie-dye to the game. Kids can run the bases following the second game of the night.

Fans who had tickets to Friday night's (May 10th) contest at Peoples Natural Gas Field can exchange them for any other remaining 2013 Altoona Curve home game for equal or lesser value based on availability.

Taking the mound for the Curve (14-20) in the first game on Saturday against the Flying Squirrels will be RHP David Bromberg (0-4, 5.57). The start will be the second of the season against the Flying Squirrels for Bromberg. He worked five innings allowing two earned runs in his season-debut against Richmond on April 15. Bromberg will be opposed by RHP Craig Wescott (1-3, 4.55). The start will be the first for Wescott against the Curve this season.

RHP Casey Sadler (4-2, 2.86) is the probable starter for the Curve in the second game against the Flying Squirrels RHP Taylor Rogers (1-1, 4.02). The second game will start after a 30-minute break following the completion of the first game. Altoona currently has a 4-3 lead in the season series against Richmond.
