MORNING BASEBALL : The Sea Dogs are 3-1 on their six-game roadtrip, and continue their three-game series on Wednesday morning at First Energy Stadium...At 14-9, Portland finished the first month of the season with the best record in the Eastern League, and hold a one-game lead over Reading for the top spot in the Eastern Division...The Sea Dogs have won all three road series this season, last year, they didn't win their third road series until the middle of May.

SEEKING PERFECTION : Brandon Workman (4-0) was perfect for six innings, before allowing a lead-off double in the seventh, but earned the win as Portland beat the Reading Fightin Phils 5-3...Tony Thomas finished 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, and falling a home run shy of the cycle...Michael Almanzar and J.C. Linares each add RBI's for the Sea Dogs...Brock Huntzinger recorded the final five outs to earn his fifth save in as many chances...Daniel Bard returned to Portland, but allowed two runs in just 2/3 of an inning...Seth Rosin (1-2) tossed seven strong innings (3 R, ER) but took the loss for Reading.
