The Sea Dogs look for a four-game sweep of the Trenton Thunder on Sunday afternoon at Arm & Hammer Park...LHP Mickey Pena (2-0, 5.98) makes the start for Portland in the series finale.

NEWS AND NOTES

WHAT A MONTH : The Sea Dogs seek their first series sweep in Trenton since 2005, closing out their four-game series in three days on Sunday afternoon at Arm & Hammer Park...Portland finished May 23-10, the most wins for any month in franchise history...Last night was their third doubleheader sweep this season...With last night's win in game, the 'Dogs are 20 games over .500 for the first time as a Red Sox affiliate...After an off-day on Monday, the Sea Dogs open up an 18-game stretch against the West on Tuesday night.

DAY AND NIGHT : Portland used a 5-run fourth and RHP Keith Couch picked up his league-leading 7th win, leading the Sea Dogs to a 9-4 win over Trenton in game one on Saturday...CF Mookie Betts went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI...3B Sean Coyle added three hits and LF Bo Greenwell finished 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored...In game two, SS Deven Marrero rallied Portland back in the seventh with a two-run single, as the 'Dogs grabbed the night contest 4-3...RHP Mike McCarthy (4-2) earned the win and RHP Noe Ramirez worked around a lead-off double in the seventh to secure his 6th save of the year.
