NEWS AND NOTES
LOOKING FOR THE SPLIT: The Portland Sea Dogs have dropped two of three in the series and conclude their four-game set with the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) on Sunday night at Arm & Hammer Park...With a win today, the 'Dogs clinch a winning July and a winning record on the road this month...Following an off-day tomorrow, Portland starts a 12-game stretch on Tuesday night against the Erie SeaWolves (Tigers affiliate) at Hadlock Field.
TRENTON WALKS IT OFF: Brandon Wagner delivered a walk-off RBI single with two outs in the ninth inning, lifting the Trenton Thunder to a 3-2 win on Saturday night...Chad De La Guerra tied the game in the fourth inning with a two-run homer to right field...Dedgar Jimenez worked seven strong innings on nine hits, two runs, three walks, and four strikeouts...David Sosebee worked two scoreless frames to earn the win for Trenton...Josh Taylor (1-4) took the loss.
