NOT ONCE BUT TWICE: The Portland Sea Dogs and Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets affiliate) play a doubleheader on Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium...The two teams are making up April 6th postponement due to rain (opening series of the season)...Portland is 1-2-3 in doubleheaders, sweeping Binghamton at Hadlock Field on May 10th...Lefties Dedgar Jimenez (4-6, 5.82) and Daniel McGrath (1-1, 3.35) make the starts on Tuesday.
ALL PONIES ON MONDAY: Binghamton hit four homers, collected 20 hits, and defeated the Portland Sea Dogs 16-2 on Monday night...Deiner Lopez supplied Portland's offense with a two-out, two-run triple in the fourth...The Ponies hit three 2-run homers off Trey Ball in the sixth inning...Levi Michael, Tomas Nido, Champ Stuart, and Richard Urena each knocked in three runs...Justin Dunn (4-2) worked six innings on eight hits and two runs to earn the win.
