The Sea Dogs and Fisher Cats split a doubleheader Saturday evening and return to Hadlock for a Sunday Matinee. The 'Dogs look to improve on their 31-14 home record and 9-4 record against the 'Cats.

NEWS AND NOTES

SUNDAY MATINEE : The 'Dogs and Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) split a doubleheader Saturday evening 5-2, 0-2 at Hadlock Field...With the win in game one the Sea Dogs clinched the season series at Hadlock and currently lead the series 9-4 with nine games remaining...Portland owns the best doubleheader record in the league at 5-1-3.

ONE FOR US AND ONE FOR THEM : The Sea Dogs and Fisher Cats split two on Saturday night with the 'Dogs taking game one 5-2 and the 'Cats game two 2-0...Brian Johnson threw his second complete game in a row at home (6/21 vs. ALT) and earned his eighth win of the year...Shannon Wilkerson had three hits and two RBI in the first game and Blake Swihart chipped in with an RBI double...Game two featured a pitcher's duel of two bullpen guys...Lefty John Anderson gave up a leadoff single to Peter Hissey, but silenced the Sea Dogs over five innings, striking out a season-high eight...Wilfredo Boscan allowed two unearned runs across four and two-thirds innings and he struck out a season-high six...Aaron Kurcz delivered two and one-third scoreless to complete the game for Portland...Gregory Infante pitched two scoreless for NH and earned his 11th save.
