HOMESTAND CONTINUES: The Portland Sea Dogs and Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) play the middle game of their three-game set on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field...Portland is home through next Tuesday, playing a season-high eight straight games in Maine...The 'Dogs have won four of their last five games, and needs a sweep of this series to finish 8-8 against Trenton...Lefty Dedgar Jimenez makes his 22nd start of the season.
LUKE SENDS US HOME: Luke Tendler clubbed a walk-off three-run homer with two outs in the 10th inning, lifting the Sea Dogs to a 5-2 win in the series opener...Previous to Tendler's hit, Tate Matheny tied the game with an RBI single...Jordan Weems (3-3) worked two innings to earn the win...Matt Wivinis (0-1) suffered the loss...Trailing 1-0 in the eighth, Michael Chavis and Bobby Dalbec hit back-to-back doubles to tie the game.
