ALMOST HOME (SERIES TIED 1-1):The Sea Dogs wrap up their seven-game roadtrip on Wednesday morning against the New Britain Rock Cats (Rockies affiliate) at New Britain Stadium...With a win today, Portland will win their second consecutive series against the Rock Cats...The 'Dogs are 2-4 on the trip, and are seeking just their second 2-game winning streak on the young season.

EVEN STEVEN: New Britain scored four times in the fourth inning to beat Portland 4-0 in the twinbill opener...Juan Ciriaco had the game-winning hit with a 2-run single off losing pitcher Justin Haley (0-2)...Ryan Carpenter (1-2) retired the final 14 batters to notch his first Double-A win and first professional complete game...In game two, the 'Dogs scored four times in the first inning and won 8-1...Jantzen Witte knocked in three runs, going 1-for-2...Reed Gragnani and Blake Tekotte nailed two-run doubles in the first...Simon Mercedes earned his first Double-A win, allowing one unearned run over 3 IP.
